Many and `i managed to run 7 miles. We went down to the clydeside to keep cool as the temperatures are soaring and it feels like we are going to have a great summer and possible a heat with the warmest UK temperatures ever recorded. We cooled down crossing the clyde on the free ferry from the riverside museum over to govan and then ran home.
The whole of the Uk is experiencing a heat wave and today Glasgow is expected to reach a record 29C and tomorrow 31c. I'm so glad we started running at 8:30 and managed to achieve 7 miles before it got too hot to walk!
I really did enjoy every bit of the 14 miles Rob Roy Challenge on Saturday 23/6/18. The weather couldn't have been better and the scenery amazing. The company was also superb. I am sure I will do this even again. Especially when I read the race results and found out we were 31 & 32 out of 167 people. We were also 1 & 2nd from the Horseback UK team and managed along with 5 others to raise over £5000 for this charity which helps injured service personnel by riding and looking after horses.
Ran into town to sort out the picture postcard for the Kirk and called into Maxwell Park on the way home. Two jobs done!
I really enjoyed this race and the weather was just the way I like it, hot and cloudy. It was also the first time I've run the Glasgow Ladies 10K over on the South Side and I liked the route. Now planning to do 10 in a row from 64 - 74! All because after the race and wearing my finisher's T shirt I had a chat with the Senior British and European Duathlon Champion outside a coffee shop!
