The weather has turned cold again and I was freezing as I waited at the end of the road for my new Park Run Pall. I had my Follow my Trainers hat on and that helped a bit. It also meant I was highly visible and my new Park Run Pall could see me as she ran down her street! Anyhow we both warmed up as we jogged to the start line and managed to run round the route this time one minute faster that last time.

I managed two loops round the hill route with the Speedy Striders and really pleased with our new hats! Monday 19 March 2018
Its still freezing and as we really just had a dusting of snow its all gone now. The Speedy Strider and I ran to the Brownie shop to buy the missing badges from last week and then headed to Georges Square to find the missing Commonwealth Marker. I am pleased to say we found it and by the time we got home we had run 8 miles. I had my new running trainers on and managed to keep them nice and clean Saturday 17 March 2018
Because I cut my long run short this week I thought I would add in this mornings 5K Park Run to my weekly miles. I am glad I did because I bumped into a very tall leprechaun celebrating St Patricks day and made a new Park Run Pal happy to take photographs. We had a chat and next week we shall all do Park runs. I will run Glasgow and my new PRP will run south of the border. The leprechaun said he would look out for me. Friday 16 March 2018
The Speedy Strider and I ran 6 miles. I had planned on going further however changed my mind because it was simply freezing and the wind like something out of Siberia. This morning I ran to the Brownie shop for 6 Brownie Traditions Badges and then headed to the train station to find out about the costs and times of trains to Largs. This is because 10 lucky Brownies will be attending a Field Studies Centre on the Isle of Cumbrae from the 27 - 29 April and I need to work out the logistics and put all the information on to the Brownie website before Thursday.
Im really glad I did this because I managed to run 11 miles and find out that with two adults and 4 children can travel free on the train. Monday 12 March 2018
The Speedy Strider and I ran hills today. 6 miles of them. When I got home I posted the stats onto my instagram account because I was feeling quite chuffed with myself. I also phoned my DOF to invite myself to her house ,because I was in great need of calorie replenishment and her biscuit tin is packed with chocolate biscuits. Friday 9 March 2018
After a telephone chat the other day with the man who put the thirty-five Commonwealth Trail markers in place. I explained I didn’t find his website very helpful when it came to the exact location of the markers, so he very kindly filled me in on where they were, so with this in mind the Speedy Strider ran six miles with me and we found 4. I continued on running for another seven miles and managed to locate another six. Wednesday 7 March 2018
I set out on my long run with the Speedy Strider and had good intentions to compete 13 miles. However I had to cut that to 5 because I now know having a huge bowl of lentil soup and eating three chocolate chip cookies the night before a long run is really not a good idea. I was pleased to reach home after 5 miles as my insides were in turmoil. I will now reschedule my long run for Friday. |
