The idea of this little book came to me in 2012 as I was running along the streets of Glasgow training for the Berlin Marathon. I just kept thinking about the twenty-six miles along with the twenty-six letters of the alphabet and rhyming them with things I knew about Scotland.
Once I had the story I asked my friend Martyn if he would draw the illustrations.
I managed to complete the Berlin Marathon and went back in 2013 and did it all over again!
